MILITARY INSPIRED JACKETS

I’ve recently fell in love with olive green. It’s such a pretty color especially in jackets! I splurged over the summer on some winter jackets and it’s such a bummer because Texas weather is so warm in February. During the splurge, I bought some military inspired jackets that I rock on chilly days! My go-to is a black turtleneck, skinny jeans, black booties and an olive green jacket to top it off!

Here are some pictures for your inspiration!

Stay Beautiful Campaign

Stay Beautiful Video

Two friends of mine did a “Stay Beautiful” campaign that I was featured in and I decided to share it with you! The idea behind this campaign was to promote the improvement of women’s self esteem and share the idea that beauty is not confined by one definition.

Ladies, I hope this video shows you that you are beautiful no matter the skin you’re in. Embrace your beauty for everyone embodies something beautiful. Society has placed this terrible misconception that beauty has standards. That you must look this certain way, talk this certain way, dress this certain way to be considered beautiful. This has turned some women into having self-esteem issues and/or eating disorders. Shy away from the negativity and love yourself for at the end of the day, that is all you have!

THROWBACK BIRTHDAY

10986224_1415551568740468_71587512_n

This Tuesday will be my 22nd birthday! I honestly can’t believe that is has already been a year since I’ve had my first (strong) margarita from Chimy’s on the Square! I remember I went to Chimy’s after class on this day. I was too excited about ordering my first drink that I asked the waitress for 2 drinks … She denied me saying that it was only one drink per person. Thank God she did because one was good enough!

This year for my birthday, I’ll spend some time at home with my family and later head to dinner with some close friends!

This year has been a year of so much growth. I’ve learned so much about myself. I’ve pushed myself out of my comfort zone mentally, physically and spiritually. I have conquered challenges. I have gained everlasting friendships and have had some really great laughs! I am so proud of the woman I am today. It’s amazing how much you can accomplish in a year’s time.

2016 is going to be a year of many changes for me. I will be graduating college in a few months. I will (hopefully) have a fantastic job that I love and learn from. My family will be relocating from San Antonio to Nashville and honestly who else knows what is going to happen! Either way, I’m ready for it. xoxo

BUSINESS CARDS

Business cards are a great tool that can help you network with individuals wherever you are. Many peers of mine have said they feel like business cards are for experienced professionals but that isn’t the case at all. How cool would it be if you met someone that could connect you in the professional world and you whipped out a business card to hand over? It’s definitely better than writing your email address on that napkin across the table… Having your set of business cards will come in handy and will definitely set you apart!

Here are some sites you can order business cards for a great price!

VALENTINE’S DAY

Happy Valentine’s Day! I wish you all so much happiness and love with your significant other, friends and family. If you’re single, don’t fret. Valentine’s Day is the perfect holiday to make some strawberry cupcakes and put in a romantic comedy or hit the mall for President’s Day sales. If you’re taken by the man or woman of your dreams, embrace each other and do something you all have never done before! Last Valentine’s Day, my boyfriend and I decided that a fancy dinner wasn’t what we were feeling. We knew all of our favorite restaurants would be super packed and probably have a preset menu. That prompted us to hit… IHOP. We were literally the only ones in the whole restaurant and had the nicest waiter. Post up with your boo and have a beautiful day.

Below are some photos that I took last Valentine’s Day at the Historic Pearl in downtown San Antonio.

PERSONAL BRAND

“You have to have some common sense when it comes to your personal brand. Personal branding suggests that success comes from self-packaging.”

What does your self-package hold? What are your likes, your dislikes, your hobbies, your interests, your favorite things?

What is your passion?

What do you see yourself accomplishing in the next five years? What do you see yourself getting excited about? What provokes you to do more research?

These are questions that I still ask myself today. Even after almost four years in college, I am trying to figure out my true passion and how I want to move forward with it. However, that is perfectly okay. There is no timeline when it comes to your personal brand. Life is all about time and you have plenty of time to thing of your thought process, your actions and results.

Start forming your personal brand through your online presence. Create social media accounts, connect with individuals who have share similarities and even some differences so you can expand your knowledge. Start writing on topics that hit home for you, that you need answers to. Follow some of your favorite blogs and watch videos that challenge your ideas and push you outside of your comfort zone.

I challenge you to be the best version of yourself.
