SPRING BREAK

Last year at this time, I went to SXSW for Spring Break! It was such a blast! A month prior, my boyfriend gave me a Go-Pro so that was the perfect accessory to bring along!

Instead of heading to Austin this year, I’ll be traveling with my family to Nashville, Tennessee. My parents have been prior but my sister and I haven’t so I can’t wait!

Whether you’re going home, heading to the beach, riding along for a road trip, or watching Netflix, have a safe and fun time this break!

HITCHED

When I was a freshman, I joined a service sorority and through that sorority I met some really incredible young women. One of those women is my big. For those who may not know, when you become a part of a sorority whether it is based on service, multicultural, or Panhellenic, you get the chance to earn a big sister. The role of a big sister is to be your mentor throughout your time in the organization. Holly, my big, was just that to me and I am so thankful for our relationship.

Not only is it Holly’s birthday today but this weekend she will be getting married to the man of her dreams and I am so happy to be apart of her bridal party. This is the first wedding I will be in and it’s been such an adventure thus far. Myself, her, the remainder of her bridal party and some of her friends went on a 4 day Royal Caribbean cruise to Cozumel, Mexico  in October. We definitely danced nights away and had too many drinks, but that’s what cruises are all about right?

It seems like we just went on our Mexican adventure yesterday. I can’t believe in just a few days Holly will be walking down the aisle in her beautiful white gown, marrying the man of her dreams. It makes me so happy to see friends of mine in love. People spend their whole lives looking for a beautiful attraction, a beautiful connection and some that will last forever and my girl has found that!

VALENTINE’S DAY

Happy Valentine’s Day! I wish you all so much happiness and love with your significant other, friends and family. If you’re single, don’t fret. Valentine’s Day is the perfect holiday to make some strawberry cupcakes and put in a romantic comedy or hit the mall for President’s Day sales. If you’re taken by the man or woman of your dreams, embrace each other and do something you all have never done before! Last Valentine’s Day, my boyfriend and I decided that a fancy dinner wasn’t what we were feeling. We knew all of our favorite restaurants would be super packed and probably have a preset menu. That prompted us to hit… IHOP. We were literally the only ones in the whole restaurant and had the nicest waiter. Post up with your boo and have a beautiful day.

TRAVEL BUCKET LIST

I’ve traveled the world. I’ve been to many states in the US, the Caribbean, Africa and Europe. What a blessing! There are so many individuals who haven’t even stepped out of their hometown, so I feel so lucky to have traveled to so many stunning places. However, it’s only the beginning. Throughout my lifetime, I hope to travel to many more places. The world is a melting pot filled with so many unique individuals, cultures and beauty.

If you have the means to travel, please do. There is nothing better than spending your money on traveling to a place you’ve never been.

Wanderlust: a very strong and irresistible desire or impulse to travel the world
